Age Concern Haringey collaborated with Haringey Council to bring together an invited audience of 40 people to hold Haringey’s ‘Big Care Debate’ on 29th Oct 09.
There were wide ranging discussions about the proposals for the design and funding of care services outlined in the government’s Green Paper ‘Shaping the future of care together’.
Topics covered ranged from the need for investment in preventive, community based support to the provision of independent advocacy alongside new ‘brokerage’ services that are already being piloted.
